Alina Haber-Kovach

Alina Haber-Kovach is an Advisor to the Red Lion Institute and the founder/consultant/project manager of MAHK1, LLC. In addition, Alina has held a real estate managing broker license for 10 years. Alina holds an MBA in Operations and Marketing from the Booth School of Business at The University of Chicago. and a BS in Health Physics from Purdue University. She is a recipient of an Executive Leadership Certificate from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Alina’ passion for education and commitment to nonprofit organizations came at an early age - as her mom, a teacher, founded El Buen Vecino, which provided educational, health, employment, and emergency services to families in the South Bend, Indiana area. Her dedication to education and support of nonprofits has continued throughout her career. As a board member of a Chicago college, she led strategic planning workshops for Board members and the executive team. Her work was central to the creation of new services, which addressed the growing needs of the school.
As an experienced Operations, Change and Program Management professional, Alina has acquired more than thirty years of knowledge in a variety of industries and organizations, including operations, consulting, real estate, audit and assurance services. She has deep leadership and managerial experience and has led multiple process improvement programs in operations, IT, and training that increased effectiveness and drove results.
Alina has served two terms as a Commissioner on The City of Naperville’s Housing Advisory Commission. She was integral in securing the approval of the City Council for a 20% affordable housing allocation for the Fifth Avenue Project.
She is committed to promoting the values and goals by partnering with individuals, families and communities in support of education to overcome poverty, discrimination and isolation.
